I’ve encountered photographers who have so disliked the colour and tone rendering from X100 and X-Pro series cameras released after the X100 and X-Pro1 that they’ve bought and stored backups for these older cameras for when their original ones stop working.ĭxO, please add X-Pro1 and X100 profiles to those in the Color Rendering palette’s Camera Body category and do the same for the legendary Fujifilm S3 Pro and S5 Pro please. One of the joys of DxO PhotoLab is its ability to process raw files from one camera to look as if they came from another, an example that I tried today being an X-Pro2 raw file processed to look like it came from a Leica SL2.Īs with the X-Pro1, many owners of the Fujifilm Finepix X100 came to prefer its colour rendering over that of its successors and I’d love to have an X100 camera profile when I want to apply it to raw files from other cameras. The lens is still available while the camera is discontinued. The rendering from the X100 and X-Pro1 is reportedly more analog-looking than that of their successors.įujifilm S5 Pro digital single lens reflex with Nikon F mount and Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D lens. • Here’s an example of such a project (not processed in a recent version of DxO PhotoLab and DxO FilmPack, sadly): I kept my very first Fujifilm camera, though, my beloved Fujifilm Finepix X100 and still use it every so often for suitable documentary projects where its slow operation speed and unique colour rendering are an advantage.

It was only due to the fact that I was doing some human rights charity volunteer work involving video back then that I chose a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 followed by a Lumix GX8 instead, selling my Fujifilm X10 to help pay for them and also due to the lack of support for the X10 from almost all image processing software at the time. I had a Fujifilm X10 and while its viewfinder wasn’t as sophisticated as the one in its successors, I was seriously considering adding a Fujifilm X30 to my stills photography kit for a while until Fujifilm had to kill its small sensor camera series off due to the sensors no longer being manufactured. Looks like the DxO folks have obtained some old and increasingly rare (on the second-hand market) Fujifilm cameras that still have legs such as the X-Pro1, the X-E1, the X20 and the X30.
